- Q:I had a couple more questions based on your reply. The link you sent says only 2 fobs are included. There is no mention of a hood latch. It also states there are two options, standard and enhanced. I guess I am trying to verify a couple things. First I bought a remote start kit from a seller on Amazon ( a dealership in Florida) that did not include a latch, but did have the exact same part number. And that corresponds to the description on your link but not the answer you provided. Second, what is the enhanced option, and is it available for the same price ($230)? - Q:I asked my dealer about this kit and they told me the kit needs to include a hood switch, to prevent starting while the hood is open. I have the AP8 code in my glove box, and wiring appears to go to my hood latch but they quoted me $350 (average) for the kit and a full day of labor to install the package and program the remotes.
