As far as I can tell, my '16 Regal did not come with remote start. This, as well as other GM websites, say "this fits your 16 Regal." Does this require dealer programming, or can I program these to work, incl. remote start, using the instructions that come with the two key fobs? Or perhaps, can they simply be programmed using the instructions found in the owner's manual? (I can't seem to get a straight answer from any local dealer here).

Hi, my vehicle is a 2016 Regal base model. How do I know if it came with a remote start option? If it did, then do I just need to get a remote control with the start feature? And if it didn't, will this kit "enable" or "install" the remote function? Thanks!

USE PART# 23120889 PER VIN# MUST BE PROGRAMMED TO START YOUR VEHICLE Includes (2) uncoded keys, part number 13504204. Some dealers may have equipment to cut the keys. If not, use tool# BO-51098 to swap the uncoded keys out with the existing keys for customer. (coded key - part # 13500226
