Exhaust Manifold

The exhaust manifold is part of the process where they guide the exhaust gases through the catalytic converter and exhaust tip. They vary in design, size, and material but all exhaust manifold work the same. The manifold are very effective at keeping gases away, which can put the driver at risk. Also preventing backward flow which can cause less fresh air and poor performance.

Exhaust scavenging

The importance of the scavenging effect is critical to the velocity of the medium to high pressure components. The length also effects the tubes, if the tubes are too bug it can cause the gas to increase and slow down the effect. The wide tube gain power and torque, while the narrow tube allows for the best gains at reduced speeds.

Most modern exhaust headers come with ceramic coating to prevent rust and reduce heat that travels to the engine.

A bad exhaust manifold can cause a lot of noise, decrease in acceleration, and poor fuel efficiency.
