The carburetor float is essential because it restricts the fuel or gas that stays in the reservoir.
Carburetor float functionThe carburetor also has a reservoir where fuel is drawn into the intake manifold. The carburetor float consists of a needle composed of plastic, and a foam that is fuel-tolerant and is capable of floating inside the float-feed chamber. The floating needle limits the amount of fuel gaining access to the float chamber. It is also essential to keep the carburetor in good working order to prevent any engine problems.
